What Physio's are saying...
I am so much more confident with my manual handling skills and ability to build rapport with patient's. I really appreciated the regular reflection and getting articles and podcasts that were relevant to my practice. This last 3-months has been a game-changer for my patient's and job satisfaction.

I have always struggled learning from weekend courses. I also don't love giving up a full weekend to do this. Instead I picked the times that worked for me to learn and it made it so easy to get better. I am also more confident knowing the literature better and have been inspired to teach others about it.
Patrick C.
I was ready to leave the physio profession, I was so disenchanted. I spent a few months with Nathan and it completely changed my world. We honed in on my knowledge gaps and I got a ton of practice building my exercise, pain education, manual skills and so much more. Thank you!

The Journey
Our mentorship is designed to get you practicing with more depth, ease and confidence. To get you there and ensure learning actually happens, there are several key ingredients. First, we will begin with an initial discovery session where we will discuss where you are at in your practice, your goals and co-create a specific plan to get there.
After discovery, we will start working your towards your goal through a diverse set of learning activities. This may include reflections, reviewing case studies, dissecting key research papers or podcasts, and practicing hands-on or communication skills over and over again. There are also monthly in-person group learning events that will help you bring it all together and get you lots of practice with key clinical skills. All of this amounts to a course where you get access to specific feedback and specific resources designed to support your specific goals far beyond a single weekend of learning.

FAQ
What is the discovery session?
To get started, book a DISCOVERY SESSION. A discovery session is a meeting between you and your mentor, designed to explore the your needs, goals, and challenges. During a discovery session, your mentor will ask you questions to gain a deeper understanding of your situation, and then offer recommendations or solutions that are tailored to your specific needs. The goal of a discovery session is to establish a clear understanding of the client's needs and objectives, so that the mentor can create a customized plan or proposal that addresses those needs in the most effective way possible. At this time, you can plan your remaining 4 sessions, the job shadow, and the learning night.
What will my mentorship session look like?
A mentorship session can take many forms depending on the specific needs of the mentee. Typically, a mentorship session involves an in-person or virtual one-on-one meeting between the mentor and the mentee, where the mentor and mentee decide together on what will help the mentee achieve their professional goals. You may unpack a case study, a research paper, a question, a challenge or focus on motor skill development. The mentor may provide feedback, share their own experiences, offer advice, or recommend resources to help the mentee achieve their goals.
Will my mentorship session be in-person or online?
Whether a mentorship session should be in-person or virtual depends on a few factors such as the preferences and availability of both the mentor and the mentee, the nature of the mentorship, and the goals of the session.
In-person mentorship sessions can offer the benefit of face-to-face interaction, which can facilitate a deeper level of connection and communication between the mentor and the mentee. It also provides opportunities for physical demonstrations and hands-on training, which can be especially valuable in physiotherapy.

Virtual mentorship sessions on the other hand, offer more flexibility in terms of scheduling and location, which can be beneficial for mentees who are unable to meet in person due to geographical or logistical constraints. Virtual sessions also make it easier for mentors and mentees to connect across time zones and facilitate more frequent interactions.
Ultimately, the choice between in-person or virtual mentorship sessions will depend on the needs and preferences of the individuals involved, as well as the goals and requirements of the mentorship program.
What do the group in-person learning nights cover?
In-person learning nights focus on a specific topic or theme and facilitated by subject matter experts or experienced practitioners who share the research, their knowledge, insights, and best practices with participants. In-person learning nights offer several benefits, including the opportunity for networking and collaboration with peers, the chance to interact with expert instructors in a face-to-face setting, and the ability to engage in hands-on learning activities that may not be possible in a virtual setting.
How does the shadowing work?
You have the option to join your mentor for 2 hours of job shadowing after one of your sessions. Job shadowing is a form of experiential learning where an individual observes and learns from a clinician on-the-job.
During a job shadowing experience, the mentee will observe the clinicians work activities, ask questions, and gain first-hand knowledge of how their mentor practices. The mentee may also have the opportunity to participate in some aspects of the work, under the supervision and guidance of the mentor.
The mentor will coordinate with you to arrange a time and schedule for the job shadowing experience. This is such an effective way for individuals to gain practical knowledge and insight into how to weave in pain education, manual therapy, exercise therapy and principles of behavioural science to name a few.
Do I have to use my 5 sessions within a 3-month period?
Yes. The 3-month period begins from the date of your first session with your mentor. If there are extenuating circumstances, this will be approached on a case by case basis. During the Discovery Session, you will discuss where the other 4 sessions, in addition to your shadow session, will fit in the 3-month period,
